4. Walt Disney named the character, Mortimer Mouse, but changed to Mickey Mouse upon Disney's wife, Lillian's, suggestion
5. Walt Disney was a family man, and he promoted that big time at work place until his death.

An investor who invested in Disney's earlier work took over everything when that product became successful, and Walt Disney was left with no job. Out of desperation, and with not much options left after hearing the news, he came up with the Mouse character on his way back from NY, and immediately developed the cartoon with his small, but reliable team.
